News from Fraser Island Defenders Organisation
Fraser Island is a World Heritage site that deserving more study because of its Outstanding Universal Value and its fragility. It is a natural laboratory for a wide range of environmental studies. The results of those studies undertaken need to be communicated to the public because better appreciation fosters better care and management. That has remained FIDO’s objective in continuing to organise these conferences.
It is proposed to celebrate the 25th Anniversary of Fraser Island’s World Heritage listing (1992) at the 7thBiennial Fraser Island Conference in August 2017 on the theme “Time, Tide and Tourism”. Anyone wishing to make a presentation at this conference is invited to contact the Conference convenor at firstname.lastname@example.org
